Burgundy, France. Labeled as 13.5% abv. This was a pretty burgundy color; semi-opaque. Both the nose and the flavors reflect dark cherries and berries and plums. There is some puckering on the tail end but this young N-S-G is already inviting and delicious in a vibrant, fruit-filled manner. I find some iron filings and some chewiness in the mouth. I first tasted this wine at a wine dinner in Durham, NC and was not familiar with the producer but would recommend this to others. I have since ordered a couple bottles of the 2016 vintage.
