  • 2010 François Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru (6/29/2020)
Take a very sharp knife. Slide a lemon with one quick cut. Add a dusting of fine salt. Infuse with mineral water than has been reduced to a concentrate. Shake. Chill. Serve the knife.

There's nothing quite like a grand cru chablis to allow such flavours to shine through. But will increasing temperatures make fruit outshine minerality (or whatever you want to call it)? Very evocative note!

Thanks guys. This probably belonged in the “that bottle” thread, but I wanted it on its own. I have one left, which is automatically “that bottle.”

Given the price appreciation and secondary market cost, this would definitely be "that bottle" for most mortals. TN sounds great!

Excellent note. Brings back memories of when I could afford Raveneau and Dauvissat!

2013 was my last Raveneau vintage, and it was 1 bottle (MdT) that hurt like hell.

2014 was it for Dauvissat.
