WTN: Dr. L Riesling 2004

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Feb 11, 2007 6:34 pm

MSR. Lossen Brothers.

Spicy, peppery and lemon on the nose.

Rather sweet, with rich lime and lemon fruit, sort of like lemon-drop candy, peppery, with moderate tangy acidity.

Long, tangy, mouthwatering lime finish.

Refreshing and delicious.

Screwcap closure.

Hi Bruce,

I love this wine. It is my number 1 and the Gunderloch riesling kabinett is my number two of the rieslings in my cellar from the 2004 vintage.

Great wine eh. The `05 has a hint of spritz on mouthfeel entry I seem to remember.

Hi Bob,

That's music to my ears, nose and tongue. I just ordered 3 bottles of the 2005 Dr. L from our next vintages release. I am looking forward to tasting it.

Hi Tom, there are few good tasting notes if you have time to do a search here!! Can you get the Gunderloch Jean-Baptiste Ries Kab in your area?

Hi Bob,

Yes, it is usually my house white, I love it. But I only bought the 2003 a few months ago and have not seen the 2004 yet. We tend to get them much later than other places for some reason. I am actually building a vertical of this wine and have 200-2003 so far.
