WTN: Monbousquet & Napa Cab.

I had read some positive notes on the accessability of the 2015 Monbousquet so, with 7 hrs. of decant I opened one to go with a ribeye tonight. very bad idea. I immediately recorked the bottle after a small sip. very closed and very tart/tannic. will try again in 3 years. Instead I opened a 2013 Paon Napa Cabernet. It saved the day with excellent black fruit and mellowing tannins. It still could use a few more years but was quite fine tonight.

5 years in seems to be the absolute worst time to open a Bordeaux.
