WTN: 2012 Pewsey Vale The Contours 1998 CNduP La Roquette

Tasted a couple of very nice wines today.

2012 Pewsey Vale Vineyard Riesling The Contours Museum Reserve – excellent nose of lime and petrol, with a hint of nutmeg lurking in the background. In the mouth, very dry and well balanced with good acidity – built for the log haul and very good now.

1998 Famille Brunier Châteauneuf-du-Pape Domaine La Roquètte – my last bottle of this. Colour now tending toward the Burgundian, the nose still a good cherry fruit base with some mushroom and earth. Sweet in the mouth and with a fairly long finish. Great performer.

Love the Pewsey Vale reislings, but have never had the Museum Reserve. That must be quite special.

Probably the best made Aussie Riesling I have tasted!

We toasted you and wished you were here!

(sniff sniff)

Looks like the border won't open up until end-July for general traffic, though reports are they are easing/going to ease restrictions somewhat for families (like how would you prove that?)

Pewsey Vale features in my cellar. Need to try the 2012 it seems.

Regarding the border, I was hoping to visit Montana late July for butterflies. Plan B is southern BC...Trail area.
