2017 La Soeur Cadette Bourgogne Vézelay Chardonnay
This is terrific. Chardonnay, rich and concentrated fruit without overripeness, earthy (not something I often to think to say about whites) and highly detailed. Great deal for $20 at Full Pull.

2017 Domaine Borgeot Puligny-Montrachet Les Meix Chardonnay
Hmmm...my first comment on our first bottle 3 months ago notes begins "Alarmed at the bright yellow color...." This week's bottle was a return to normalcy, both in color and expectations for commune and vintage. Excellent in every way with years to go. Whew, though I remain concerned for my remaining bottles about that kind of variation.

I dunno, Dave. The first Borgeot was disappointing, but not the second. If the remaining four bottles are split 50/50 in the same way, then it doesn't matter when I open the bad ones, does it? They're goners anyway.
