Scaia (Tenuta Sant'Antonio) 2017 Corvina, IGT Veneto. New producer to me, but I see from searching notes here that they've been on Jenise's and others' radar in the past for good QPR -- which, on the strength of this bottle, still holds. Concentrated dark fruit with a lot of zip and savor, this is actually full-bodied enough that it probably could have been made "plush" and anonymous, but it wasn't, and is all the better for it; instead, it's a hearty red with more complexity than I expected for $14.00.
cheers, Patchen
