Carlisle GrunerVeltliner SteinerVnyd/SonomaMtn/SonomaCnty (14.1%; 230 cs) Windsor 2017: Light gold color; intense GV/white pepper/very spicy slight perfumed talc/herbal complex beautiful nose; bit soft very strong GV/white pepper/floral/very spicy light chalky/mineral some complex beautiful flavor; very long/lingering very strong GV/white pepper/floral/slight herbal/melony light chalky/perfumed talc bit complex finish; has put on weight and is evolving into a beautiful Smaargd-level GV. $32.00

1. The Carlisle GV continues to be my gold-standard for Calif GV. The Solminer has always been on the quiet side, but I thought this their most interesting/best GV yet.
