This was part of a club shipment a few years ago. It's just coming into its own. Its appellation is Russian River Valley, but its taste is more Dry Creek Valley. It's rich, ripe, full of blackberry flavor, and has a long, smooth finish. If I had another bottle, it'd be good for at least 5 more years. But they only bottled 249 cases of it. It's one of the blocks that DCV planted as part of their "heritage vines" program a decade or so ago, and it shows to me that they did a good thing.
