WTN: Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi

I don't have a very clear idea of what Verdicchio should be like but I do remember from way back years ago when I attended tastings that Fattorio San Lorenzo Le Oche was a good one. Much to my surprise I saw the 2018 in Alko today. Not cheap at c.25€ but hey, I have a long weekend so might as well splurge. I don't speak Italian but does it say on the label that it spends 12 months on lees? Because it certainly smells like that. Really complex, almost earthy aromas, all kinds of herbal and sour fruit fun. Rich, deep, wonderfully structured, incredibly moreish despite some heat from the 14% abv. It's such a fun wine that I'll forgive the high alcohol and price.

If someone who has experience of Verdicchio could give me the cliff notes of what it's supposed to be like, I'd love to learn. If it's a grape that can make this, I might want to try more of it.
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.
