WTN: Meran Kerner Sudtirol '16....(short/boring)

Tried this from my last EnotecaVinoNostro case:
1. Graf von Meran Kerner Dd'OC: Sudtirol/AltoAdige (14%; ToscoWines; www.kellereimeran.it/en) Kellerei Meran Burggrafler/Marlengo 2016: Med.gold color; quite fragrant Kerner/floral/pineapple some pungent/earthy/stony almost R-like some complex rather attractive nose; fairly tart/tangy/bit steely light pungent/earthy rather R-like/floral/pineapple/mango somewhat chalky/stony flavor; very long some R/floral/pineapple/mango bit earthy/chalky/stony finish; some of the aromatic character of R but not the high-toned character of R; a bit on the rustic/cabbagey/pungent character you get in Muller-Thurgau; an interesting pungent white that speaks of Sudtirol. $26.00 (EVN)
___________
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Kerner is a cross between Riesling and Trollinger/Vernatsch developed in Wurttemberg in 1929. They typically don't show the high-toned character you get in R.
This wnry is a merger in 2010 of two coops, Meran and Burggrafler. With some 380 members, they have access to some excellent vnyds. The Meran label is their top-of-the line wines.
