WTN: Leon Beyer Comtes d'Eguisheim Pinot Gris 2010

Lockdown Wine # 21. Lemon gold. Faintly nutty aromas, peach, lychee. Citrus rind bitterness, pomelo, peach, lychee, rosewater - sort of like gewurztraminer light. Nut skins; almond or walnut, I'm not sure. . Oily and medium+ weight. Slightly metallic and lemony on the finish. Thoroughly dry. Good length. Very good. Nice ornate label on this range.

The Comtes d'Eguisheim wines of Leon Beyer are made only in the best years and are mostly from Grand Cru vineyards, although they are never specified.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
