WTN: Dom. de Montille Pommard 1er Cru Les Pèzerolles 2006

Lockdown Wine #19. Garnet, starting to brown a bit. Red fruit nose - cherry, strawberry, raspberry. Some smoked meat. A bit floral as well. Ripe red fruit on the palate - same raspberry, strawberry, cherry. Rather fleshy. sweet spices. Tannins could still use a bit of time to soften, but quite nice to drink now in any case. Good length. Quite complex. Very close to peak. Enjoyed this a lot and wish I had more.

My contribution to a virtual blind tasting via Zoom with some of the Usual Suspects. You describe your wine, the group has 5 questions, and then they try to guess what you're drinking.

Doesn't that always happen! Although I suppose it's good in the sense that it means you're drinking nice wine!

Interesting game!

How did they do with guessing this one?

I messed up a bit with the tasting since they saw I had a burgundy glass! But not bad. One guy actually got Pommard and another was just a year off on vintage.
