WTN: Dow's Vintage Port 2000

Lockdown Wine #16. Color starting to fade to red/violet. Lovely nose. Christmas pudding, fruitcake, plum, fig. Same on the palate. Plus dates, blueberry jam, some woody notes, dark chocolate, and grape jelly. Very complex. Soft, not exceptionally sweet and there is a slight bitter edge to it that is a nice contrast to the sweetness. Great length. Beautiful wine.

Paired with a bit of Stilton.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.

Thanks for trying one. I have several in the cellar, but currently inaccessible. Too many boxes need to be moved.
