WTN: Do me a Faiveley

2010 Faiveley Mercurey La Frambosiere. According to the label, La Frambosiere is a monopole, and I can see why Domaine Faiveley wants exclusive ownership. This is a perfect example of how red Burgundy can illustrate pinot noir's potential for grace and finesse. The wine is a delight to drink, with lovely aromas and flavors at the strawberry/raspberry end of the the pinot spectrum (Frambosiere, indeed!). Perfectly crafted--no rough edges anywhere, and at ten years old, at or near its peak. I don't think this wine is structured for the long haul, so catch it at its best. Double Larry Curly.

Always a crazy good value. I blew through a case of the 2005.

Paul, This was one of Katie's favorite wines. Lovely to drink young but it also could stand some age.
