Lockdown wine #9 ( I didn't post wine #8 since it was a repeat of wine #4, the Jean Vesselle Extra Brut Champagne). Remarkably dark for a pinot. Violet, but starting to brown at the edge. Dried herb, raspberry/strawberry/cherry nose. Very pleasant. The berry notes are pretty strong on the palate. Not a lot of complexity. Quite dry, soft, somewhat bitter finish. A little short. Perhaps I waited too long to open this. Pleasant enough, but I think better to drink up.

Paired with hamburger with Japanese red wine sauce.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
