Drank these in L.A.:
2009 Domaine Chandon de Briailles Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Vergelesses Pinot Noir
A well balanced package of fruit and earth but quite youthful and the '00 Pommard below we also opened threw it some serious shade. Has the stuffing to offer plenty of enjoyment thru 2029.
2000 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Pommard Clos des Lambots Pinot Noir
J&A's bottle. Am blown away to see that the last CT note on this was 14 years ago. It's very very good now, fully mature light garnet in color with a lot of tea and dried rose petal notes among the dried cherry fruit.
2004 Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart Clos de Tart Grand Cru Pinot Noir
Wine suicide: took to a trendy restaurant that doesn't really get wine service, where neither the glassware nor the type/pacing of dishes was suitable for showcasing a wine of this caliber. The nose was great, but that's really about all that came thru under the circumstances. F word!
