This was gifted me by a friend, so I cracked it w/ Susan last night:
1. Caruso e Minini Nero d'Avola DOC: Sicilia (Organic Grapes; Naturalmente Bio; MassanoisImports/NY; L 9141A; 13.5%) Marsala 2018: Very dark color; strong earthy/dusty/OV rather grapey/licorice/boysenberry/black cherry cola bit rustic bit alcoholic slight floral/lilacs quite fragrant if a bit coarse nose; bit soft very strong blackberry/black cherry cola/Nero rather earthy/rustic/bit coarse flavor w/ ample rough/coarse tannins; very long big fruit/blackberry/boysenberry/black cherry cola rather rough/rustic/coarse bit floral/lilacs finish w/ ample rough tannins; one of the better Sicilian Nero's that I can recall w/ loads of Nero fruit but still a bit on the earthy/rustic side; quite a good value at $nc (MB)/$16.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I find many of the Sicilian Neros on the coarse/rustic/bit unclean side, so I opened this w/ some trepidation. The Naturalmente made me suspect it was a "natural" wine, but nothing I can find incates it is made to "natural" principals other than the grapes are grown organic/Bio. Though a bit of a slightly rustic character, it had a huge amount of fruit for a Sicilian red.
