Tried the last of my recent ATP shipment last night:
1. Ridge Carignane BuchignaniRanch AlexVlly/SonomaCnty (100% Hillside Grown; Old Vine; 13.8%; 66 brls; bttld 8/19; Drk: 6/19-6/24: JO) 2018: Very dark color; lovely very fragarnt black cherry/cherry/Caarignane rather vanilla/Ridge oak some earthy/dusty/OV but rustic very perfumed nose; fairly tart/tangy/rustic/earthy rather dusty/OV some vanilla/Am.oak very strong black cherry/cherry/Carignane flavor w/ modest ripe tannins; very long/lingering very srong black cherry/cherry/Carignane some dusty/OV/rustic fairly tart some Ridge oak/vanilla rather structured bit earthy/rustic finish w/ ample ripe/round tannins; one of the better Ridge Carignanes; quite a serious expression of Calif Carignane. $34.00 (ATP)

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was, by far, the best of the recent Ridge ATP and one of the better Ridge Carignanes I can recall. It shows the rustic side of Carignane but not as much as it did in the Buchignani Zin.
This is a serious Calif Carignane. Like it more than most of the Calif Carignanes that are often made into vin de soif/glou-glou style.
