2000 Pol Roger Champagne Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill - France, Champagne (1/25/2020)Absolutely delicious now, but with plenty of life left, this was richer than I expected, and showed both fresh fruit (Macintosh apple) and a toasty, wheaty character. Where it shone was the finish, which carried on for as long as I could wait before taking the next sip. Fabulous bottle.

sounds great. I've never bought a lot of SWC but unsure why. one of my favorite tete de cuvees (I buy a few Taittinger Comtes and Peters Chetillions, occasional CdGoisses). SWC is pricey but not like Salon.

Pricing is an issue. I don’t buy it often, but every time I have it, I love it.
