Cracked this red last night to go with my duck breast:
1. Jaffurs PetiteSirah ThompsonVnyd/SBC (ArchibaldCuvee; 14.5%) SantaBarbara 2010: Very dark/black color w/ slight bricking; intense boysenberry/blackberry/PS/peppery light toasty/oak slight volatile/alcoholic bit earthy/dusty some complex nose; rather soft slight tangy/metallic/aged strong blackberry/boysenberry/ripe PS/slight peppery modest toasty/Fr.oak bit complex flavor w/ some hard/gritty tannins; very long bit hot/alcoholic some toasty/oak strong blackberry/boysenberry/PS/bit peppery slight earthy/dusty bit metallic/drying bit complex finish w/ modest drying tannins; loads of peppery/PS fruit & a bit alcoholic but starting to dry up a bit on the palate; probably on the downside & should dring up. $26.00

1. CraigJaffurs makes one of the best PS's in all Calif. This one was the very rare ArchibaldCuvee, a true Unicorn wine.
