Okanagan Valley.
A blend of Merlot (50 per cent), Cabernet Sauvignon (30), Cabernet Franc (11), Malbec (7) and Petit Verdot (2).
Dark purple in the glass.
Spicy nose with some cherry fruit.
Big structure, coffee, cherry, chocolate, vanilla, a little tangy.
My wife loved this wine, but I must admit, try as I might, I was rather underwhelmed. Perhaps the second bottle will be more exciting.
Purchased at $20.95 (Canadian).
