WTN: Jaffurs Syrah SBC '08...(short/boring)

Tried this over the weekend w/ Susan:
1. Jaffurs Syrah SBC (15.5%) SantaBarbara 2008: Very dark color w/ slight bricking; very strong ripe/blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/Syrah/spicy/bit peppery some toasty/oak classic SBC Syrah some complex quite fragrant nose; lightly tart strong blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/bit peppery some toasty/Fr.oak very slight alcoholic some complex flavor w/ light smooth tannins; very long/lingering lightly tart very strong Syrah/blackberry/ripe/boysenberry bit peppery/licorice/pungent some toasty/oak bit complex finish w/ light gentle tannins; probably fully mature w/ gentle tannins & not going to get better but no signs of drying out or going South; quite a lovely classic SBC Syrah in a great place.

1. Here's a great example of a high-alcohol Syrah that as matured beautifully.
