Cleaning out my cellar prepatory to my trek - just found a bottle, way, way back - of Au Bon Climat Chardonnay Santa Ynez Valley, 1991. (Shut up, yeah I know.) What ya think? Salad dressing?

You might be amazed, some of the older SBC Chardonnays I've had have been excellent. Just be sure to have a backup in case it's past its prime.

Carey, how good is your cellar storage? There is some possibility the wine is still acceptable. It is probably not going to be much better than drinkable, though a lot of ABC wines age very well.

Well, I wanted to make a quick, understandable point. I guess I could have used this:

But I don't think it would have the same impact. :P

Well, it's a real cellar - under my house. Pretty much constant temperature all year round - never above 60, never below 50 and a fairly constant 60-75 percent humidity.
