WTN: Two Brunellos from last week

2013 Borgobruno Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Marc brought this. Not even close to the Buon Tempo (also a '13). Soft, oaky, some mature flavors--quite drinkable, but no future. Apparently currently $23 at Costco--one would be better off with a straight Chianti for less.

2013 Tenuta Buon Tempo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Better than a bottle in 4/19. Drinks well now with notes of cherry and anise, great balance and finish with no decanting required. Wish I had more.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I never got into Brunello, for whatever reason it never grabbed me and there are so many other wines out there. But I do enjoy it when I drink it.

Last week a friend open the 2007 Talenti Pian di Conte Riserva and it was a lovely accompaniment to the meal. No fireworks and not sure it really delivers on QPR, but definitely its own type of solid pleasure.

$23 at Costco, and you only get one bottle? How big? 9 liters? ;)
