Tried this new Massican last night:
1. Massican Sauvignon Dd'OC: Friuli Colli Orientali (100% SB; 13.5%; Imprtd by Massican) Ronco del Gnemiz/
SanGiovanni al Natisone/Friuli 2018: Light gold color; fairly strong SB/melony/herbal some earthy/chalky quite attractive if a bit quiet nose; fairly tart/tangy slight flinty/metallic some SB/ripe/melony/bit herbal slight grapefruity pleasant flavor; very long some SB/melony/ripe/herbal bit tangy/metallic/chalky finish; a pleasant white that speaks of Friuli SB but a bit on the mild-mannered side; a quite pleasant SB but just that. $28.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I found this a much more interesting wine than the new Friulano. But, still, I've had better ones from Friuli and SudSteirmark.
I'm finding more & more SauvBlancs that I really like, mostly from Friuli and Sudsteirmark. And I really like the ones Morgan makes at Bedrock. And the DryCreekVnyds SauvBlancs.
