WTN: I’m Bournais I’m Bournais I’m Bournais for you

2014 François Chidaine Montlouis-sur-Loire Franc de Pied Les Bournais - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire (12/14/2019)
Lemony, stony and a bit salty in the mid-palate. This actually feels like a rich Muscadet. Odd but satisfying.

Victim of the vintage? I usually find sunny golden fruits in the Bournais, and of course the franc de pied should have even more depth.

That said, I don't follow this wine as much as I would like as it is not available locally. I had the 2017 regular a few months ago and it was absolutely gorgeous. But haven't had the fdp in years.

This had a lot of depth. It was just brighter/more tart in profile than I expected.
