WTN: Excellent Napa Cab. unknown to most!

2014 Hierogram Napa Valley Cabernet Vineyard Block 8; I have had several vintages of this wine and am always impressed. This edition again is excellent with eucalyptus and cassis and a bit of dustiness on the nose and palate. Enjoyable now with 2-3 hrs. of decant, this wine has a great future and will reward 5-8 more years of cellaring. Possibly my last bottle. Boo Hoo! abv of 14.5%

I don't know the people behind this wine but believe I paid about 40 $ for it a few years ago.

Eww, I hate eucalyptus in wine. I used to call it "Sonoma stink" because it was so common in wines from that area. I always wondered what was causing this (IMO) fault. Then I visited Sonoma for the first time, and realized that eucalyptus oil was the cause of Sonoma stink. The smell was in the air everywhere.

Thanks for the warning.
