- 2004 Parducci Petite Sirah - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (7/Feb/2007)
Wow, this is impenetrably dark , black colour. Not too much nose. Super bramble and blueberry flavours, chewy depth, medium long finish. Full bodied, a big wine with a surprisingly low 13.5%abv. Very moreish and attractive. After drinking it I checked the merchants site to see its a blend of 86% Petite Sirah, 12% Syrah, 1% Viognier & 1% Chardonnay ; I'm guessing the last two were co-fermentations. I really liked this. (I think this is the s'Signature' series PS)(90 pts.) - 2003 EOS Petite Sirah Reserve - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (1/Nov/2006)
Rich and ripe with violet perfume and flavours, backed by chocolate. Lovely wine -- maybe a little disjointed. I think I'll keep my remaining one for a while to see if it knits together. (85 pts.)
