2016 Rhys Pinot Noir Family Farm Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, San Mateo County (10/26/2019)
Another spur of the moment bottle (I am doing that a lot lately) that is very rewarding. Bright, rich red berry fruit is supported by savory, almost meaty tones, and a dash of delicious spice on the finish. It’s quite easy to drink now, as the tannins are fairly soft. I have had Rhys Family Farm Pinot back to 2008, and this is my favorite vintage to date.
