WTN: Hirsch little baby, don’t say a word

2013 Hirsch Vineyards Pinot Noir San Andreas Fault - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (10/23/2019)
Just barely hinting at tertiary development. It took 24 hours open, and to the last few sips for the aromatics to transform, and show the complexity that Hirsch Pinot Noir is capable of providing. When it finally did unfurl the red fruit was joined by intense rose aromas, leafy earth tones and subtle spice. It was quite beautiful. If only I had waited another couple of years for the wine to really develop.
