2016 Ramey Chardonnay Fort Ross - Seaview - USA, California, Sonoma County, Fort Ross - Seaview (10/20/2019)
First look at the 2016 Chardonnays from Ramey, and this is a very good start. The wine is a mixture of freshness and depth - it shows crisp fruit to start, and then moves to a very firm, mineral foundation. It's not often that appellation level Chardonnays have this firm a core. I think this will need a couple of years to unfold, and will go for many years after that.
