Wow! Where are you located? Here in New Jersey the Rite Aids or drug stores don't sell wine or any other spirits. Might have to move!

Here in NC the Wallgreens sells wine. But so horrific-looking I cannot imagine drinking any of those 'products'.

Come on now...you know you went in for the Port deal, and they goaded you into a flu shot. ;)

Basically the same here in Kentucky, although the bourbon selection is decent. Of course, that's Louisville.

Washington state. And they have fairly large selections but mostly big brand stuff that sell well to escaped Canadians. Would not have expected to see anything over $30 let alone 20 yo ports from someone like Grahams--in fact, I didn't look at their wine department at all. But there was a whole shelf of 50% off wines on the end cap opposite the greeting cards where I was killing time while the pharmacy sorted out an insurance problem, and there this was.

Btw, welcome to WLDG, haven't seen your name before!

It all depends on which state you live in. In Massachusetts you need a liquor license to sell beer, wine, or hard liquor. If you're a grocery chain, only one store is allowed to have a license. In New Hampshire, where I live, grocery stores and pharmacies can sell beer and unfortified wine, but fortified wine and spirits can only be obtained at the state-run liquor stores.
