Tried this last night w/ EmilioCastelli & friends:
1. Favaro LeChiusure DOCG: Erbaluce di Caluso Piverone (13%; www.RinascimentoWine.com; JustinGallenSlctn) Benito Favaro/Piverone 2017: Med.gold color; very fragrant/perfumed floral/carnations/very Arneis-like slight stony beautiful nose; fairly tart rather rich/lush dry quite floral/fragrant Arneis-like light stony/mineral bit complex flavor; very long/lingering very floral/fragrant quite rich/lush finish; a lovely expression of Erbaluce at a great price. $25.00 (VB)
________
A wee BP:
1. Dry Erbaluce tends to make a bit dull/stony wine. This one was unusually fragrant, almost like an Arneis. Best dry Erbaluce I can recall.

Camillo Favaro is one of the best Piedmontese producers outside the Langhe.
He is also an excellent connoisseur of Burgundy, to whom he has dedicated two excellent books.
