2007 Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile - France, Alsace (9/3/2019)
Stern to the point of severity - this is currently for those who prefer their Riesling with a side of sharpened steel. It opened up a bit after 24 hours, but never developed any palate richness - it remained as focused as a cat on a fishtank. Give it time. Lots of time.

David, that's an astounding analogy, and just surprising enough that the mind can, somewhat bumblingly, take it in!
(The question, of course, is: how long the cat is willing to wait.) Nicely done!
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...

Steve - I think it depends on the cat. Some can stare and wiggle their butts for a very long time. ;)

Had another bottle tonight. It’s not so severe, but it’s still liquid steel. It’s just in this case the steel feels really good.
