2010 Obelisco Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Nefer II Obelisco Estate Vineyard Red Mountain
Had this at a friend's 16 months ago, thought it was tight, unyielding, "nondescript". Odd, knowing these wines are excessively rich and expressive (not to mention expensive, like $80ish), though I've not followed them personally. From a different cellar two nights ago, a bottle had mild cooked flavors, low acidity and was on the verge of oxidation. No recent CT notes to compare it with but am going to check the 'flawed' box this time--no way a '10 should be at death's door.

2005 Boudreaux Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Washington
Decanted three hours then returned to bottle. Still good but the balance is a little off from the bottle we had in 2016 with more ripe vintage characteristics.

2016 Black Hills Estate Nota Bene Okanagan Valley VQA Red Bordeaux Blend
Margot's. Decanted earlier in the day. Highly aromatic, bright raspberry fruit and spicy cigar-box cedar, lively brightness and finish. Fun evolution in the glass too, started out showing off the Cab Sauv and then literally rolled through every grape in the mix, finishing with cab franc. Excellent acidity and finish. Have past experience with various vintages of Nota Bene but usually 8 or more years out--very surprised at how well this showed so young.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
