Thanks Randy. I bookmarked the page. However there are at least 2 more wineries in Niagara County not on the map - Eveningside and Honeymoon Trail (Niagara Wine Trail). This will be a good resource for when we select wineries to visit in the Finger Lakes for NiagaraCOOL '07.

Hi Howie,
I think the map is not very accurate, definitely not updated. (I think you can find Eveningside somewhere on the East End of Long Island). On Long Island alone there should be approximately 39 wineries or vineyards.

You can take the boy out of New Jersey, but you can't take the New Jersey out of the boy!!

The map has to be outdated. Appears to be about 20 wineries missing from the Finger Lakes. But then, I could be reading it wrong...

The map shows it up in the HudsonVlly. I knew I got lost out there on LonGisland, but didn't think I was THAT lost.

The "official" map of the New York wineries is at Uncork New York.

This one shows driving routes and is often updated.

Thanks Bob. I see 13 wineries in the Niagara Escarpment, but 2 are outside Niagara County, so there are 11 listed for Niagara County, of which 3 are scheduled to open soon. I knew the other map needed some tuning.

Howie,
Any info on the 3 yet to open wineries? Is anyone following Mike Von Heckler's model of "World Class" Pinot Noir? As a fan of Mike's wine, I'd be very interested in any movement in that area.

I haven't been over there since November, but I plan on going back to Warm Lake to get some more of the '05 for cellaring. I don't know of anyone else doing PN, but if they are, its one of several grapes they are growing, not a dedicated operation like Warm Lake. One of the students in my home winemaking class last winter lives on the escarpment in Lockport and has planted a few PN vines in his yard. I did pick up a nice Cab Franc from Eveningside.
