2016 Idlewild The Bird Red - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (8/26/2019)It is ridiculous that this wine can be such a seamless match with a pizza. I have tried multiple, different pies, and it always works. Dusty red fruit, bright acids that cut through cheese and toppings, and a spicy, structured finish. This is a must have wine for me.
