Same exact note from precisely one year ago, except this time we had it alongside steamed lobster with lemon, which perfectly balanced out the dosage. Great match!

Yeah, I know, big producer, probably overpriced, but damn if it wasn’t a really good drink. Showed fresh apple fruit up front along with a distinct toasty edge, and then deeper, richer tones on the back end, resulting in a fuller bodied wine than I was expecting. The addition of mature tones made it an interesting wine, and even if I would have preferred a little less dosage, the balance was really good with our buttery, salty popcorn.
