WTN: Paint your palate blue and gray

by Jenise » Sat Aug 10, 2019 2:45 pm

2017 Vincent Pinot Gris McMinnville
Light orange-y red. Smells like pinot noir, drinks like a light Villages gamay, yet it's neither. A little genius of a wine. He's just released the '18, may have to indulge.

2017 Domaine de la Denante Saint Véran Les Maillettes Chardonnay
Big aromatic nose of stone fruit with a sharp and beguiling floral note not typical to chardonnay. Mouthfilling, pineapple flavors with slatey minerality. Sexy and serious all at once. So happy I bought a case.

2018 LaStella Rosato LaStellina Okanagan Valley Merlot
Bill Spohn popped this one open the other night. Bright, tangier than you'd expect from Merlot, and balanced; notes of watermelon and strawberry. Excellent.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Vincent makes some very nice wines. This world is in fact meant for him.
