A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Alximia: This is a wnry that is supposedly in the "natural" camp, though they don't boast it on the WebSite. Founded by a former mathematician.
_____________
2. TrousseauGris: The grape variety that used to be known as GrayRiesling. It made rather dull/uninteresting back in the days of GusSebastiana and Wente. With a new name, doesn't seem to have risen a whole lot above that in newer hands.
_____________
3. Alvarelho: This is the grape that dominates in the Dao of Northern Portugal. Reportedly used a bit in the making of Porto in the Douro. This wine had a lot of grapey character that reminds a lot of the dry Douro reds, but not the structure or tannins of most of those.

There were some very nice, earlier vintages of the Wind Gap Trousseau Gris. Unfortunately when Pax Mahle started losing his focus on Wind Gap (due to the rebirth of Pax), the quality dropped.

Pax seems to be a one label guy. Whichever "brand" he is focused on is always very good. The ancillary projects and consulting winemaker jobs never measure up.
