2007 Copain Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills
A superb bottle. Youthful deep color with concentrated fruit just beginning to show secondary nuisances, but not in the least port-y or overripe (noteworthy as the last reviewer on CT had two porty bottles that must have been poorly stored). Great finish. Wouldn't hesitate to hold thru 2025.

2011 Evening Land Vineyards Pinot Noir Eola - Amity Hills
Age is doing wonderful things for this wine; best bottle yet. Drink or hold (and be rewarded).

2015 Wind Gap Wines Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast
Bright, acidic raspberry fruit with a touch of iodine. Body-wise, on the thin side. In the race between fruit and acid, fruit won't win. A disappointment.

I tried Gap’s Crown three times while Pax had Wind Gap. I never liked it.

Other than his Sonoma Coast Pinot, I didn’t really care for any of his Pinot Noirs. He makes Pinot for a couple of other wineries. I don’t like those either.

He’s not a Pinot guy IMO.
