WTN: Arboleda Sauvignon Blanc 2006

Valle de Leyda.

A joint venture between Robert Mondavi and Chile's Eduardo Chadwick of Viña Errazuriz.

A big nose, pine resin, peppery, green peaches and rather floral.

Pine resin carries through to the mouth, light lemon tang, green peaches, some grapefruit rind, peppery. With time, the grapefruit rind became more intense and rather annoying.

Mouthwatering, fairly long lemon-tinged finish. Again, with time, the grapefruit rind dominated the finish, which literally stripped all moisture from the mouth.

Don't believe I care for this style.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $16.75 (Canadian).
