2010 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (7/14/2019)
Nine years from the vintage, this remains quite youthful, with the bright, bracing 2010 acids setting the tone. It’s very rich and sweet for a Kabinett, but that is typical for the ultra ripe 2010 harvest. It’s still amazing how much acidity was retained at such high ripeness levels. This feels like ripe Spatlese, and is likely immortal. Oh yeah, it also tastes really good, with honeyed citrus fruit and salty finishing tang.
