1997 Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume - France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Quarts de Chaume (6/15/2019)Stunning. Baumard is an up and down producer for me, but this is a magnificent wine. Botrytis and age have turned this wine a dark bronze, but there’s nothing “old” about the way it tastes. The balance of burnished fruit, intense spice and a brown sugar finish that is incredibly intense. Crazy delicious stuff.
