2018 Villa Maria Pinot Noir Rosé The Attorney East Coast
Possibly the most seductive pinot noir rose I've ever had. It's THAT good. Hand-carried home from NZ by a friend, it's not avail in the US and only 1300 bottles were made. Heady aromas of mixed Mr. Lincoln and Sterling Silver roses and a touch of orange blossom, and on the palate mixed light red fruits with tangy dried apricots on the long finish. With all that going on, it was still crisp and precise with perfect acidity. Not just excellent: AMAZING.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Villa Maria are typically associated with their huge production table wines (mainly sauvignon blancs), but they can make excellent premium wines too. But it's strange that they made this from East Coast vineyards, as these are among the least suitable sites for pinot in NZ. I guess that's why they used it for rose?

I dunno! Like I said, a friend tasted it at the winery and brought it home. She said they now make wine from 28 different grape varieties. I don't know if those include various clones of the same grape or if she misspoke and some of those are blends, or what. But it's a heckuva lotta wine.
