Tried the last of my new MarthStoumen wines:
1. Martha Stoumen Nero d'Avola MendoCnty (13%; www.MarthaStoumen.com) Napa 2017: Dark color; strong earthy/bit loamy some grapey/Nero/plummy/black cherry/black cherry cola/bit licorice light pencilly/oak bit rustic quite interesting nose; bit soft slight tangy/metallic strong grapey/black cherry/plummy light earthy/rustic light pencilly/oak lovely flavor w/ light rough tannins; very long bit soft strong Nero/plummy/black cherry cola bit rough/rustic light pencilly/oak some earthy/loamy/rustic finish w/ light rough tannins; a rather attractive rendition of Nd'A with that rough/rustic character but somewhat high-toned for Nd'A; quite an interesting red but a bit pricey for what it is. $40.00
