2008 Pegau Reservee
Oh happy day. Thought we'd drunk all these by 2017 as they were maturing quickly (I thought), but found this orphan last night in the cellar while trying to unearth an '11 from the bottom of the pile. Initially light with plums, acid and white pepper, it gained weight over the course of several hours in the form of extra fruit, garrique and a nutmeg kind of spice on the finish. Totally delightful with a simple dinner of roast chicken and roasted zucchini coated with herbs d'Provence.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Very fine. I have a few 2006s that I need to unearth.
