2009 Hexamer Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Riesling Spätlese ** - Germany, Nahe (5/12/2019)Another 18 months in bottle, and this is still a monster. It has the richness and sweetness of Beerenauslese, but without botrytis, so that explains the Spätlese labeling. But don't be fooled, this is not a dinner wine. Have it after a meal, maybe with cheese. Or have it with a foie gras course. This is a beast with decades of life ahead of it.
