Clear dark ruby. Cranberries, red berries and a slight charry note that could stem from oak or the soil. Juicy and tart, refreshing and cleansing, cranberry nuances out front. Long, clean and mouth-watering finish. US Importer: Kobrand Corp., NYC. (Jan 28, 2007)

It seems that we've visited with this wine once before on the old forum and I loved it. Your recommendation to buy a case for a house red re-kindled my interest so when I was able to get it on the internet for 13/per including shipping, I went ahead and did it. The wine does not disappoint. It is everything you described. Slightly earthy, plenty of fruit, great structure, surprisingly long enjoyable finish, it's all there. There are so many wines that I've paid so much more for that I did not enjoy nearly as much. A pity I'll never know if this wine ages because it will probably be gone before summer.

Glad you loved it, Howard! I'd have felt really bad if you purchased a case and hated it. ;)

Did you get the 2004 or the 2005, which I believe is in the marketplace now? I didn't find any serious, consistent differences between the 04 and 05 Tuscans when I tasted through a few hundred of them in Siena in October, and I assume Piemonte was similar.
